General Checkpoints

  • Examine Fabric of entire garment, inside and out for slubs and other imperfections
  • Stress-test all seams (by pulling) to make sure they are sewn securely
  • Seams are straight and overall silhouette is consistent.  Apply steam if appropriate
  • Chest, sleeves, shoulder etc. measures accurately within allowable tolerance for garment and size
  • Front cargo pockets are straight and aligned with one another
  • Any pills, snags, or loose threads in the fabric are removed
  • Zippers operate smoothly, are stitched securely to handle tension without risk of breakage
  • Any loose threads removed
  • Any loose bits of yarn or Fabric removed

 

Garment Tailoring

  • All stitches are tight and uniform, with no skipped stitches holes, or gaps. No visible stitches below the yoke
  • Reinforced stitching where needed (e.g., at stress points such as arm holes, on side of cargo pockets, & double stitch lines when necessary)
  • Double Yoke even and symmetrical, front and back, left and right
  • All pockets symmetrical (matching and at proper angles)
  • Top of Cargo Pockets at same angle and same height compared to center front
    • Cargo Pockets side parallel to Center Front
    • Cargo Pockets same size
    • Cargo Pockets flat zipped/unzipped, buttoned/unbuttoned ... and both
    • Cargo Pocket Button Anchor Strips sewn securely and bar tacked
  • All pockets securely sewn, tested from inside
  • Pockets and cuff latch are graded appropriately to size
  • All Slot Button Anchor Strips sewn securely and bar tacked
  • Forearm doubling sewn properly and in proper place
  • All buttonholes are sewn to standard and aligned with corresponding buttons
  • Buttons on back of collar anchored properly and aligned with standard Double Hood buttonholes
  • WeatherWool Brand label present with correct Fabric
  • Batch Tag present and correct
  • Batch Label (such as Innes-1) present, if appropriate
  • Size Tag matches sizing
  • USA Tag present
  • Care Tag present
  • All Tags and Labels sewn properly
  • All thread ends snipped close

Hardware & Functionality 

  • Bar tacks are sewn to provide additional reinforcement
  • Barrel clips are sewn securely with ribbon attached. Elastic adjustable waistband is functional
  • Areas with zippered closures open and close smoothly; zippers are operating without snagging
  • Front & cargo pocket zippers and button are fully hidden under storm flap
  • Buttons on back of collar are aligned to fit ANY double hood
