The History Channel show Mountain Men has brought WeatherWool a lot of positive awareness. Producer and cameraman Brad Veis ordered an Anorak in 2018, and that started a trend. Brad wore his Anorak behind the camera, and the interest in WeatherWool of both cast and crew took off organically. Eventually, almost every cast member and most of the crew of the TV show Mountain Men had some WeatherWool. You can watch an interview with Brad Veis here.

Among the cast of Mountain Men are Bret and Ivy. They have been so supportive of our company and live an incredible, Natural life in the Alaskan Range guiding, trapping, fishing and hunting. It had always been on my bucket list to get out to Alaska so when the opportunity clicked, I was all in. I just asked to tag along for a week and they were kind enough to let me do that.

This was the first trip out to their camp for the season and Bret was eager to get a good start on his trapline so most of our days were spent snowmobiling through Bret's area, soaking up the beautiful wilderness and eating wild game.


It was a great pleasure and one I won't forget.


While I was out there, Bret told me about a bear attack he and his dad experienced in 2016. I felt that astonishing story needed to be fully detailed in a separate video which you can now watch below.

Bret filmed 57 seconds of video footage immediately after the attack, with Glenn telling the whole story on camera. We include only a short segment of this footage because it's just so difficult to watch. However, we felt it necessary to include enough of this footage to present the story accurately, and to show what a grizzly can do to a person in only a few seconds.
