Pit zips are large and can release a great deal of heat.
Wool breathes very well and most people will not need pit zips.
But Chad does some extremely vigorous things such as cross-country skiing and skinning (going uphill in downhill skis).
Ski helmets are large and the Hood of the SkiJac is big enough to fit them.
