Blaine Anthony

Blaine Anthony, president of Nature Productions, has been wearing WeatherWool since September of 2015. He is an ultra-busy guy ... Nature Productions handles a lot of outdoors-oriented TV Shows including:

  • The Bear Whisperer (Blaine in lead role, sometimes wearing WeatherWool)
  • North American Safari
  • Away Outdoors
  • The Hitmen
  • Tim Sylvia's Hit Squad
  • Uncaged
  • Dressed to Kill
  • Freedom Fighters

plus many others contracted on Outdoor Channel, Sportsman Channel, Pursuit, Wild TV, NBC Sports.

Being in the outdoors business and having many relationships with a great number of people, Blaine needs to be very careful about his product valuations and public comments. On 9 March 2016 he sent this note for our use:

Making a living in the field of conservation and television, WeatherWool is an essential part of what I use in the field. Rather than being just clothing, for me it is more like a 'tool' I use anytime I am in the outdoors. As you can see by the pictures, WeatherWool keeps warm in the harsh Northern Maine forest. Just as important, it is rugged. When I am ankle deep in a bear den doing conservation work with bears, roots from trees sticking out everywhere, sharp rocks and many other surprises I cannot predict are constantly coming up… I need gear that will hold up to conditions most people would never have to put their gear through. WeatherWool has passed every test, and has been through every condition imaginable and I continue to wear it today. There are many companies that claim to be the best, but you have proven your worth and are easily the best value out there for anyone who needs durable and functional outdoor wear.

It's always a kick for us to see WeatherWool on TV, so when we turned to The Bear Whisperer one morning, we took a couple of cellphone pics. Blaine was doing mid-winter research on denning black bears with the biologists from the State of Maine:

One of the co-stars of Blaine's other shows is a lady named Twyla Jean. We didn't know if Twyla had ever heard of WeatherWool, but we thought at least Blaine could tell her what we were about. So we sent an email to Twyla asking if she might be interested in helping us out with our Women's Design Group. We were quite surprised when Twyla sent back a picture of herself in WeatherWool!
