Chile
WeatherWool Advisor and Contestant on TV's Dual Survival, Bill McConnell in his Lynx Pattern Anorak atop a glacier in Chile.
Interesting backstory to this photo ... In the summer of 2015, Bill phoned me. I had not heard of him before, although he was already very well known in bushcraft and survival circles. Bill told me he'd be on a TV Show that would film in a cold place for an extended period. And he said he'd be wearing the best wool he could find, and that he'd be contacting everyone who makes woolens. A few days later, he phoned me back, saying he was confident he wouldn't find anything to compare with WeatherWool, and predicted it wouldn't matter what any other maker sent him. For several months more, I didn't hear from him, but eventually he phoned to tell me he was really happy with the performance of the wool, but still couldn't talk about exactly what he'd been doing. Some weeks later, Bill told me when to watch the show.
Bill was the first of several people to wear WeatherWool on television.
