I would be VERY happy to have the first of the Batch 13 Fabrics by September of 2026. I think Batch 13 will be mostly Denim, but also some Whipcord and Heritage. I don't think we'll be making any Jacquard Fabric from Batch 13.
The greasy wool has been purchased and the test results are complete.
Batch 13, purchased in April/May of 2025, is a mix of:
- Geis Ewe: 19,391 pounds / 8794 kg. Geis Yearling: 2247 / 1019. This is our first purchase from Geis Ranch in Gillette, Wyoming. A total of 21638 / 9813, the majority of this Batch. Gwen Geis told me she'll be sending some info so we can get a page about the Geis Ranch added to this website. Gwen is 2026 President of Wyoming Wool Growers Association
- King Ranch of New Mexico (Ewes only): 7706 / 3495
- Jones Ranch in New Mexico. Ewes: 3701 / 1678. Yearlings: 882 / 400
- PM Ranch (Padula) in Minnesota. Ewes: 603 / 273
- McMurry Genopalette Ranch in Missouri. Ewes: 4592 pounds / 2083. With luck, a few hundred pounds more.
Batch 13 greasy totals 39,107 / 1774 as weighed by Chargeurs.
Chargeurs will take the fiber from greasy to clean, combed TOP ... the high-grade starting point for all our Yarns and Fabrics
TIMELINE:
- As of 6 May 2026, I got prelim data from Chargeurs. Looks like we wound up with 22,000 pounds (10,000 kg) of TOP, which would be a great yield!
- Processing at Chargeurs should be complete by 24 April 2026
- Delivered to Chargeurs for scouring approx Jan 20, 2026 and weighed in mid-February
- Purchased April/May of 2025
