PM Ranch 2018
Padula sent me a quick note today (29 April 2018) ... in the midst of his busy season, Bob is ultra-pressed for time. But he has plans for this new little lady. In Bob's own words:
"It's that time of year again. Lambing time.
This new little gal (PMR MN24-18009) will get her first shearing in March/April 2019 for a WeatherWool garment available in 2020-2021. We actually started the process in June 2017 by looking at her mom's performance records and selecting a new ram for the flock.
There is a lot of planning and preparation that goes on to produce the wool for WeatherWool. And we at the PM Ranch are proud to be a part of the WeatherWool program.
She has a brother too. The ewe had twins, which is common for our flock.

The meaning of "PMR MN24-18009":
- PMR = PM Ranch
- MN24 is a federally assigned number meaning the 24th ranch in Minnesota to participate in the voluntary scrapie-free certification program
- 18009 is the ninth Targhee lamb, other lambs from other sires are 183xx and 184xx
