Blaine Anthony, president of Nature Productions, has been wearing WeatherWool since September of 2015. He is an ultra-busy guy ... Nature Productions handles a lot of outdoors-oriented TV Shows including:

  • The Bear Whisperer (Blaine in lead role)
  • North American Safari
  • Away Outdoors
  • The Hitmen
  • Tim Sylvia's Hit Squad
  • Uncaged
  • Dressed to Kill
  • Freedom Fighters

plus many others contracted on Outdoor Channel, Sportsman Channel, Pursuit, Wild TV, NBC Sports.

Being in the outdoors business and having many relationships with a great number of people, Blaine needs to be very careful about his product valuations and public comments. On 9 March 2016 he sent this note for our use:

Making a living in the field of conservation and television, WeatherWool is an essential part of what I use in the field. Rather than being just clothing, for me it is more like a 'tool' I use anytime I am in the outdoors. As you can see by the pictures, WeatherWool keeps warm in the harsh Northern Maine forest. Just as important, it is rugged. When I am ankle deep in a bear den doing conservation work with bears, roots from trees sticking out everywhere, sharp rocks and many other surprises I cannot predict are constantly coming up… I need gear that will hold up to conditions most people would never have to put their gear through. WeatherWool has passed every test, and has been through every condition imaginable and I continue to wear it today. There are many companies that claim to be the best, but you have proven your worth and are easily the best value out there for anyone who needs durable and functional outdoor wear.

Here is another note Blaine sent in February 2016 ... also quoted, of course, with his full consent:
I have been a professional outdoorsman since 2004. Living and working in northern Maine and Canada I have diligently searched for clothing that will keep me warm in the field. My search has come to an end with WeatherWool. It works in the toughest environments in the most unforgiving parts of the world. In addition to it being the warmest clothing I can find, the fit and finish is second to none. Being on national television, I also have to be concerned with how my clothing fits and looks while I am in the field. It is obvious that WeatherWool has put the time and effort in to make not only the warmest outdoor gear available today, but gear that fits right and is comfortable to wear.

Thank You,
Blaine Anthony

THANKS BLAINE! We are making the best pure-American woolen clothing we can figure out how to make. (Sorry if I say/write that too often.)

Below is a picture of Blaine and his 2015 Maine Buck ... 215 pounds dressed weight. Most years, New Jersey does not have even one buck that large. And if we do, it will be an October buck ... that is, a buck that has not yet lost any weight due to the stresses of the rut (breeding season). We love that Blaine would hunt in our SkiJac. Deer season is a very big deal in North Maine.

We really enjoy Blaine's show THE BEAR WHISPERER, on Pursuit Channel, partly, of course, because we get a big kick from seeing WeatherWool in TV. But also because it is a great show. Blaine is very genuine and there is a lot of information about bear biology as well as bear hunting. I took a few dopey phone-photos of the TV screen on 16 July 2017 ...

Kind of a funny story to go with the above pictures, too ... the day before we caught this episode on TV, I had written Twyla Jean about helping us with the WOMEN'S WORKING GROUP. So then we see Blaine wearing WeatherWool on TV again the next morning, and we posted these pictures on Facebook and Instagram. Blaine reposted our pics on his own account, along with some strong words of endorsement, which of course we appreciate. Then a couple of days later, Twyla Jean responded to our invitation with this text and picture!

Hi Ralph! It would be an honor. I actually borrow Blaine's jacket when it is super cold. This [day] it was 17 below zero [-27C], my nose got cold but not my torso. Great Clothing!!
