Since we first began offering Pants, people have been asking us to make Hitches (Suspenders).
Backstory: I have never worn hitches. People keep telling me that, compared to a belt, hitches are warmer in winter (let the heat from your legs rise into your jacket) and cooler in summer (let the heat from your legs rise and escape). Sounds great. I am also told hitches are a lot more comfortable for guys like me with a "mature" physique (HA!) because they don't squeeze you like a sausage tie. So maybe towards the end of 2020, when the weather cools down here in the NYC area, I'll give suspenders a try.
As far as WeatherWool suspenders ... One thing that bothers me is that our Fabric is not designed to be cut into long, narrow strips and have a load attached to each end. I am pretty sure we'd need to apply a layer of our Fabric on top of something else. Or perhaps use a double-layer of our Fabric ... and then usually tailors require the edges of our Fabric to also be doubled somehow to provide a clean finish ... which seems to be leading to more bulk than would be acceptable.
AND ... I think we'd need to price them at well over $100 a set. So I have a lot of questions about whether this product makes sense.
But if you'd like to see WeatherWool Hitches, please give us your thoughts and/or indicate interest by backordering without obligation (price set to 0) from this page. Latest information about our production is here. Our entire inventory is here.
Like always, ideas are very welcome ... doubly so for any Pipeline Product --- Thanks --- Ralph
