Dr Mike Bacharach took one of our very first Hoodies to Kyrgyzstan for a Marco Polo Sheep. The Marco Polo live in some of the most remote, wildest and difficult places on earth. I've never been, but definitely get a kick knowing WeatherWool is going great places and helping people like Mike do what they are doing! Mike is a cardiologist and maybe that was one of the reasons he was able to get to the sheep.
Marco Polos generally live at altitude of at least 12,000 feet (3700 meters) and often a lot higher than that ... No heat and no oxygen ... In some places Marcos are threatened and can be heavily preyed on by wolves, but they are thriving in Kyrgyzstan and people like Mike help to ensure their survival. I think Mike was in Kyrgyzstan in 2015.
